Registration Courses: Noncredit Withdrawal & Refund Policies

Note: These policies do not apply to certificate courses or programs. See Certificates: Refunds and Withdrawals.)
Withdrawals

Failing to attend class or notifying the instructor that you wish to drop a class does not constitute an official withdrawal from the course. To avoid receiving a record of unsuccessful completion (applicable to courses providing CEUs), you must officially withdraw in writing from the course. we are not responsible for any such cases. (Students who do not withdraw, and who do not complete the class, will have a record of unsuccessful completion on their Educational Outreach Official Record.)

Refunds
The refund policy differs depending on the length of course you are taking.
For standard, 10-week courses and courses that run longer than two weeks:

To receive a full refund, minus the non refundable registration fee, you must submit a written request to withdraw no later than the eighth calendar day after the first day of class.

For courses that are 4 days to 2 weeks in length:
To receive a full refund, minus the non refundable registration fee, you must send a written request to withdraw no later than midnight of the first day of class. There are no refunds for withdrawals requested after the first day of the class.

For courses that are one to three days in length:
To receive a full refund, minus the non refundable registration fee, you must send a written request to withdraw by no later than midnight the day before the first day of class.

There are no refunds for withdrawals requested on or after the first day of class.
